I'm on an extended trip to England. This place is going to be a regular stop for me. I had the rock eel and chips. Let me just say in the US we are missing out on this amazing protein and this one was cooked perfectly. I also had the cod/haddock on a previous visit. Also come very well. The chips (fries for the uncultured Americans) are done the right was with a par cook and cool then second fry leaving them crisp and irresistible. The only recommendation would be for them to be salted hot instead of at the table but I get why it's not. Also tried the oysters. Very good. It's fresh oysters. What can I say. Definitely worth the stop if you here at mealtime.

Great find, being gluten intolerant it is a rare event when I can choose anything from the menu and not have any worries about cross contamination. The service was attentive and prompt, the food very good. We opted for Haddock and chips with a side of home made Yorkshire caviar (mushy peas). Fully recommended.

Myself and some friends had a meal here today and I can honestly say it was the best gluten free fish and chips I've ever had. Along with the food came a warm welcome on arrival and seen to our table. The service was very friendly. I would highly recommend 👌

My first time in UK and first time in the sea tree and YOU have to go. It’s the cute little spot with amazing food. The classic fish and chips is to die for. It was exceptional The service we received was so amazing and we will definitely be back again if I can. They made us feel welcomed and gave us an amazing experience.

A great establishment with non greasy tasty food. Servers are warm, friendly and patient with my requests, and while waiting for my food I observed many locals coming in to get their dinner. Prices were reasonable and food was light and tasty minus bloating you usually get. We went with their Shrimp burger and cod bites which did not disappoint! I would definitely come back to try other items in the menu like whitebait. They has a very nice dining area if you choose to dine in, also very dog friendly.

The best fish and chips in the area. Bit ashamed, lived in Hertford for about 30 years and never realised you could sit down and eat it in this amazing little fish and chip shop. First class, I had plaice and chips with mushy peas. Welcoming and friendly service. Will definitely be back.

A great local fish and chip takeaway and restaurant. We ate in, haddock and chips for him and Shetland mussels for me. I was given a choice of cream or tomato sauce. The mussels were beautifully sweet.
